We arrived at Camp Rock Enon, set up camp, and repacked our gear in dry bags. Monday morning Andy Nichols, owner of Shenandoah Mountain Guides, and his son Jake met us with the canoes, gear, and food. We loaded up and headed for the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. At the Milford Beach access we had a safety briefing, loaded up the canoes, and headed out on the Delaware River.
We paddled about 10 miles through alternating sunny skies and brief showers. We found a paddle-in campsite on the NJ  bank  of the river and unloaded our gear in a downpour.  After setting up camp, Andy got dinner ready. It rained most of the evening and the river rose a foot or two.
Tuesday we got breakfast ready, tore down camp, and then planning the day’s paddle. We paddled to the Dingmans Ferry access to eat lunch. Back on the river we paddled past a couple of campsites that were full and eventually found a site on the PA bank. We paddled about 10-12 miles on Tuesday. After setting up camp, Andy again cooked dinner. With the river up and running fast, we decided to complete the remaining 18 miles in one day versus two.
Wednesday we ate breakfast and got on the river in a  timely fashion. We paddled to the Turtle Beach swim area were we ate lunch. After lunch we completed our paddle to Kittatinny Point Visitor’s Center. After loading up, we headed back to CRE getting into camp around midnight.
